Student Placement
In-clinic sessions
We offer student placements to trainee counsellors and psychotherapists. Client sessions will be carried out face to face at our clinics in Buckhurst and Henley-on-Thames.
online or Telephone sessions
If you live a distance from either of the Centres we may still be able to accommodate you, as we also offer counselling and psychotherapy by zoom and telephone.

Placement with Us
It can be difficult to find a placement at the beginning of your counselling training, as spaces are often limited. Our aim is to help trainees through the exciting journey of qualifying to be a counsellor or psychotherapist.
Cherry Tree Therapy Centre has a number of placements for counselling students to help them meet their course requirements.
We recruit throughout the year so please email us your CV.
Our Role
Clients come to us through various avenues. If they are on a low income or unemployed we may refer them to our low-cost counselling service. Once their needs have been assessed we may refer them to a trainee if deemed suitable.
Our close-knit team provides students with the support and guidance they need.
We even have free monthly group supervision to enhance learning and professional development.
