Susy Maclean is a qualified Integrative Counsellor at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Buckhurst Hill.
“From my own experience of having counselling, I know that it takes courage to make that first step. I tend to think of counselling as unravelling the tangled wires inside my head and tidying them up. After each counselling session, I was able to think clearer and see things from a different perspective. I felt lighter, as though a weight had been lifted”.
Being an integrative counsellor allows Susie to bring in several modalities of counselling techniques and theories to meet the needs of each individual client. Her aim is to listen, understand and help you reach your full potential.
“Sometimes it is easier to talk to someone that you can trust, away from family members or friends. Sometimes there is a need to off-load feelings and emotions that you might have been carrying around with you since childhood, or you might feel that life is becoming too much and you are struggling to cope”.
Susy strongly believes that the relationship in therapy is one of the most important first steps to making changes. She is a warm, sensitive, real person with heaps of empathy. Susy will provide you with a confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
Whatever it is causing you distress and what you choose to bring to each session, Susy is able to help you.
