About Me

Paul Gray is a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Buckhurst Hill.

He is a trained Psychotherapist and has completed his Post Graduate diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London, and is a registered member of the BACP.

Paul practices Integrative counselling. This framework looks to provide the best fit for  you, as it incorporates various modalities, from Person Centred Therapy, Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic therapy. Paul is keen to explore what you bring to the room and work with you to find the best outcome. Paul will provide you with a protected a non-judgemental space to navigate the difficulties you are encountering and will work with you at your own pace depending on your needs. Paul believes that Therapy is a way to firstly overcome difficulties and navigate past or present events, but to also to grow into a better version and not what you are but what you could become.

Paul works with Anxiety, Depression, Child Abuse, Stress and Bereavement. He has spent the last twenty years helping people through domestic abuse and Child Abuse. He has worked with survivors of all forms of child abuse, from single abuse cases to institutional abuse and is trained in specialist interviewing techniques and join agency working. He’s experience in these areas he has been brought to his role as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. His journey continues but started with his interest in human behaviour and his capacity to understand his himself and others around him. This led him to study a degree in psychology and later being involved with the Samaritans.

Paul strongly believes the benefit in getting people talking, particularly to demystify the stigma attached to men talking about problems and issues.
