Jude Hutchinson

Integrative Counsellor. Specialising in Couples and neurodiverse teens and adults

About Me

Jude Hutchinson is a qualified Integrative Counsellor at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre. Jude has availability for face-to-face and online therapy sessions.
She is trained to work in several therapeutic approaches, with the person-centred model at the core. This means Jude creates a safe, confidential space to enable you to bring whatever it may be that is causing you concern. She is an empathic, compassionate therapist who will listen to you without judging.

“I draw upon a range of therapeutic models and techniques, which I am trained and experienced in, in order to meet your needs. Any technique we use, will be done so with your best interests at heart, meaning your wellbeing is the most important thing, to any work we do. Any approach I adopt will be implemented in a compassionate, empathic way. Alongside traditional talking therapy, I also find creative techniques helpful and enjoyable for many clients.”

Clients Jude has worked with have presented with a variety of issues including, but not limited to:

  • Anxiety
  • Low mood
  • Lack of motivation
  • Loss
  • Bereavement
  • Life transitions
  • Feeling of isolation and loneliness
  • Relationship difficulties

I have also worked with young people (aged over 12) and issues have included:

  • Relationship and friendship difficulties
  • Exam stress and feeling overwhelmed
  • Low mood and lack of motivation
  • Anger
  • Those with additional needs

Whatever your reason for making contact, counselling can help you understand what you are going through and support you as you face challenging thoughts and feelings. Jude will provide a safe, compassionate, confidential space for you to feel comfortable in talking and exploring what is troubling you, so that together you can start to make sense of your feelings and concerns.

Professional Experience

I am a qualified social worker and worked as a palliative care social worker in a hospice. I realised that it was the therapeutic side of the work which gave me the most job satisfaction. I took a long time out of professional work life to raise my daughter who has additional needs. When I was ready to commit to going back to work, I made the decision to retrain as a counsellor.

Jude is a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and National Counselling Society (NCS) and adhere to their Code of Ethics for Good Practice. She is fully insured and has an enhanced DBS.
