Sarah Lamont
Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist
About Me
Sarah Lamont is a Counsellor and Psychotherapist at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Buckhurst Hill.
She has been trained as an integrative therapist at the University of East London, which enables her to work with different psychotherapeutic approaches to address a range of issues. Her foundational theory is ‘person-centred’, which recognises the individualism of the client and aims to understand their unique experiences and goals, helping them to increase self-acceptance, personal growth and understanding.
She has experience of working with adults, adolescents and younger children, tailoring her approach to help her clients work through difficulties, including bereavement, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues and compulsive behaviours.
‘I provide a safe and nurturing space for you to explore difficult emotions, providing you with the opportunity to discuss and work through your feelings, helping to facilitate change and healing with complete trust and without judgement.’
As a member of BACP, (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy), Sarah follows their code of professional conduct and ethics for good practice. She is also a member of the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and holds an up-to-date personal liability insurance.
Sarah offers sessions both face-to-face at weekends and online during the week. She is currently working as a School and Sixth Form Counsellor in Central London and is a former English Teacher, so she has extensive experience working with adolescents.
