Work Experience: Samantha has worked all her life with children and adolescents who have grown up in the care system, in education with young people, or with adults in an NHS primary care trust. She has been a senior practitioner for Essex CAMHS.
About Samantha Bagshaw: Her original training was in psychodynamic counselling. She has since worked using various therapeutic approaches including systemic work, CBT with children and families, solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic work with adults.
Samantha’s psychodynamic training gives her the perfect knowledge of counselling theory to support clients in navigating their challenges. She has a deep understanding of how difficult it can be to work through issues that have been buried for years, but she believes these need to be understood and embraced as part of the self.
Through work together, Samantha can help clients find acceptance in difficult situations so that they don’t feel stuck anymore. Her humanistic approach works with the client’s agenda, offering a safe space to explore and discover solutions, integrating the whole self.
