Sadaf Solangi is an integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP, offering a warm and reflective space for adults and young adults. She works with a range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, identity, and life transitions.
Her core training is in the person-centred approach, which underpins her belief in the importance of feeling heard, understood, and accepted. Alongside this, Sadaf works integratively, drawing on psychodynamic thinking, CBT, and elements of Gestalt, existential, and transactional analysis to support clients in a way that feels responsive to their individual needs.
Sadaf’s approach is both gentle and purposeful. She creates a safe, containing space where clients feel able to explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace, while also using thoughtful challenge and reflection to help people move forward when they feel stuck. Clients often describe her as compassionate, non-judgemental, and deeply attentive, with a particular sensitivity to difference and diversity.
Before qualifying as a counsellor, Sadaf spent many years working in caring and supportive roles, including as a special needs assistant, nursing assistant, and complementary therapist. For the past eight years, she has worked as an NHS chaplain, supporting people through illness, loss, and bereavement. This experience continues to inform her work, particularly in understanding the emotional and existential aspects of people’s lives.
Sadaf holds a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Postgraduate Certificate in Chaplaincy Studies, and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science. She is in regular clinical supervision and committed to ongoing professional development.
She offers sessions face-to-face during the day and online in the evenings. Sadaf speaks Urdu, Hindi, Sindhi, and Saraiki, and particularly welcomes women seeking support. Sadaf is happy to offer therapy to student counsellors as well. Please ask for further information
