Rebecca Mehmet (or Becky) is the heart of the Cherry Tree Therapy Centre’s day-to-day operations. As our Practice Manager, she oversees the smooth running of the centres and ensures that everything, from therapist support to client referrals, flows seamlessly across the centres. She also leads trainee placements, providing guidance, structure, and encouragement to those beginning their professional journey in counselling and psychotherapy.
Before joining Cherry Tree Therapy Centre, Becky worked for many years within the therapeutic industry as a qualified massage therapist, giving her first-hand experience of the compassion, professionalism, and sensitivity required to work with people in a healing environment. This background gives her a deep understanding of what both clients and therapists need to feel safe, supported, and cared for.
Becky has also worked in compliance management, specialising in health and safety. Her ability to blend robust organisational systems with genuine empathy ensures the centre operates smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care. She has completed additional training in suicide awareness and client assessments, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to learning and to the well-being of those we support.
Becky is passionate about mental health, community, and human connection. She takes time to get to know each and every therapist, helping to build a strong, inclusive team culture. Known affectionately as the “glue that holds everything together,” she brings warmth, humour, and energy to her work every day. From organising social events to supporting therapists and trainees alike, Becky brings a ray of sunshine to the head office in Buckhurst Hill, keeping everything and everyone connected.
