Caroline Ley

Caroline Ley

Caroline Ley is the Founder and Clinical Director of the Cherry Tree Therapy Centres in Buckhurst Hill, Henley-on-Thames. As the director of two thriving multi-disciplinary wellbeing centres, she leads the clinical, operational, and strategic development of services across four buildings and supports a community of more than 200 therapists.

Caroline began her career as an integrative psychotherapist before specialising in sex and relationship therapy, betrayal trauma, and compulsive sexual behaviours. Over the past decade, she has completed thousands of clinical hours with individuals and couples, facilitated specialist recovery groups, and supported clients through highly complex relational issues. Her extensive experience in trauma work, psychosexual therapy, and clinical assessment continues to shape the clinical governance across the Cherry Tree Therapy Centres.

While Caroline’s roots are firmly in therapeutic practice, her work has evolved into a broader leadership role. Today, she focuses on service design, centre development, community wellbeing, and supporting the next generation of therapists. Caroline oversees clinical standards across both locations, manages operational systems, and provides supervision, mentorship, and placement opportunities to trainees and newly qualified counsellors from local colleges and universities.

In addition to her leadership role within the centres, Caroline has taught on postgraduate programmes, contributed to professional training, and spoken on BBC Radio Essex and The Beat London on topics relating to sex addiction and relational healing. She is committed to ongoing professional development and draws from a wide range of therapeutic approaches to inform the clinical direction of Cherry Tree.

Across both centres, Caroline is dedicated to supporting high-quality, ethical practice and building a connected, collaborative community of therapists. Her vision is grounded in compassion, integrity, and a deep belief in accessible, community-based mental health support. Through Cherry Tree Therapy Centre, she has created safe, supportive spaces that offer clients a broad choice of therapists, specialist services, and flexible pathways into therapy.

Caroline continues to supervise, facilitate groups, and guide the clinical and strategic development of the Cherry Tree Therapy Centres as it grows, always with the aim of providing meaningful, inclusive, and professional support to those who need it.
