Barry Redman
Accounts & Operations Manager. Integrative Counsellor and Coach.
Barry Redman began his career as a sustainability consultant, focusing on protecting the external environment. However, during this time, he embarked on a personal journey of self-discovery that reshaped his professional path. Through men’s groups, workshops, and personal development work, Barry came to recognise the deep connection between our inner and outer worlds. This insight sparked a passion for mental and emotional wellbeing and led him to retrain as an integrative counsellor and coach. (Don’t worry — he’s still passionate about both kinds of sustainability!)
Barry now combines his therapeutic work with his role as Accounts and Operations Manager at the Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Buckhurst Hill. He also serves as Operations Director of the Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Henley and Cherry Tree Group Ltd, where he helps ensure the smooth running of the wider organisation.
Barry’s own experience of therapy gave him a deep respect for the healing process, particularly in the areas of addiction and recovery. He went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in integrative counselling, which allows him to adapt his approach to the unique needs of each client. His specialist focus is in supporting individuals and couples affected by sex and porn addiction and sexually compulsive behaviours, areas that are often misunderstood and rarely talked about.
With empathy and a strong understanding of the complexities surrounding addiction and betrayal, Barry offers a safe, non-judgemental space for healing. Whether you are struggling yourself or are supporting a partner in recovery, Barry provides calm, grounded support tailored to your situation.
Barry works with individuals, couples, and groups, supporting clients facing issues such as:
-
Sex and porn addiction
-
Anxiety and stress
-
Depression and low mood
-
Relationship difficulties and communication issues
-
Identity and self-esteem challenges
His therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Clients often say they feel heard, supported, and gently encouraged to move towards real and lasting change.
Barry offers sessions both online and in person from Buckhurst Hill and Henley-on-Thames. His practice is inclusive and welcoming to people of all backgrounds, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality, respect, and empowerment.
If you or someone close to you is struggling with sex or porn addiction, or if you’re navigating the impact of addiction on a relationship, Barry is here to help. Contact him to learn more about integrative counselling and coaching, and how it might support you.
