Anne Argent
Accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Anne Argent is a qualified and accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience spanning mental health, education, recovery services, and the corporate sector. She provides a warm, confidential, and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore difficult thoughts and feelings, make sense of their emotional world, and begin to feel more in control of their life again — emotionally, mentally, and relationally.
Anne has worked extensively within NHS Talking Therapies, community mental health services, and within university and recovery settings, where she has supported individuals facing a broad spectrum of emotional and psychological difficulties. Her work has included both short- and long-term therapy for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relational challenges, as well as complex presentations involving addiction and co-dependency. Anne’s approach is built on compassion, honesty, and belief in each person’s ability to move towards healing — no matter how lost or overwhelmed they may feel.
How Anne Works
Anne uses an integrative and collaborative approach, meaning therapy is always tailored to your unique situation — no two journeys are the same. She draws from a range of therapeutic models to help clients explore, understand, and begin to shift what’s no longer serving them, while also moving toward their goals.
At the heart of Anne’s work is the therapeutic relationship — a safe, consistent space where clients can feel truly seen, heard, and supported. She believes deeply in the human capacity to heal, even in the face of pain, shame, or emotional disconnection.
“You are not a problem to be fixed. You are someone who has adapted to survive, often in incredibly difficult circumstances.”
Therapy with Anne offers the chance to slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been buried under stress or silence. She will hold hope for you — especially on the days when you can’t yet hold it for yourself.
