Alexa is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma / MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London and is nearing the end of her first year of training. She works from an integrative perspective, drawing on different therapeutic approaches to meet each person as an individual rather than applying a single framework to everyone.
Alexa offers a warm, empathetic and collaborative space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. She is described as calm, grounded and non-judgemental, with an ability to remain present even when working with complex or emotionally charged material. Clients often say they feel genuinely heard and understood in her company. She values creating a sense of safety that allows deeper themes to emerge naturally, without pressure or assumption. Her work is reflective and thoughtful, and she is comfortable sitting with uncertainty while gently helping you identify meaningful patterns within your story.
She supports adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, low self-esteem, identity questions and the impact of past experiences. While she remains open to working with a range of clients, she has a particular interest in supporting adults navigating emotional change and life transitions.
Before training as a therapist, Alexa worked as an actress, an experience that strengthened her capacity for empathy, attentive listening and understanding different perspectives. She later worked at Shelter and volunteered as a listening volunteer with the Samaritans. Alongside her professional experience, she brings a lived understanding of grief following the loss of a close family member to suicide, as well as her own experience of counselling, which deepened her belief in each person’s capacity for growth and change.
Alexa offers sessions in Buckhurst Hill on Fridays from 10am–4pm (in person) and on Tuesdays from 9am–12pm (online).
Sessions are £30.
