Person Centred Counsellor
Karen Bolton is qualified in person-centred counselling at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Buckhurst Hill. She has worked with a wide range of different issues and specialises in stress, anxiety and bereavement.
“I believe everyone has the ability to live their best life. However, I know from personal experience that there can be many challenges that get in the way of this”.
Karen Bolton will offer an open and welcoming space in which you will build a relationship based on acceptance, respect and exploration; together you can talk through the challenges and difficulties you may be facing. You can talk about your past or present life, your feelings and emotions, your relationships, your ways of thinking and your patterns of behaviour.
By hearing your concerns, Karen can support you to gain a better understanding of your feelings and actions and help you to find your own solutions to problems and develop the ability to cope with difficulties.
She believes every person has within themselves, the ability to make the changes they need to and she is here to support you in this without judgement or telling you what to do as. Together you can find new ways to live that are right for you.
“I value the uniqueness of each individual experience and I will tailor my approach to meet you where you are in your life. Helping you and finding ways to make positive changes that improve your self-acceptance, self-esteem and personal confidence“.
Karen can help you so that you no longer feel stuck, unhappy or alone, reducing your anxiety, stress or depression. She also has experience in: bereavement, family and relationship issues, abuse (emotional, physical, verbal & sexual), self-harm and suicidal thoughts, trauma and PTSD, workplace stress and anger management issues.
