Counsellor & Psychotherapist

About Me

Emily Bland is a new Counsellor and Psychotherapist at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Buckhurst Hill.

She has trained as a Psychotherapist and is working towards her Master’s in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London.

Emily is a new counsellor and has completed her training as an integrated therapist, which means that she can tailor the most effective combination of different psychotherapeutic approaches to address the specific problem or issue you’d like help with. She can work with clients from all sorts of backgrounds across several different areas of interest, including helping people struggling with eating disorders, people who’ve experienced trauma, those who are depressed or anxious, or who simply want to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

Emily Bland has also completed training to work with people who are experiencing coercive control or domestic abuse in their relationships.

“I feel that one of the most powerful things about therapy is that it doesn’t tell you anything you didn’t already know instinctively, but it gives you the tools and the framework to put this knowledge into context. When you can achieve that clarity and understanding, you’re able to unlock deeper insights about yourself and your experiences which can be very healing”.

“I see therapy as a journey we go on together. I’ll walk beside you and hold a confidential, safe, non-judgemental space for you, as you explore your thoughts and feelings. We can work together to help you process whatever difficulties you’re facing, and develop strategies that can move you towards a calmer, more stable, and peaceful way of being”.
