Julia Martinez

Integrative Psychotherapist / Somatic Coach

About Me

Julia Martinez is a Psychotherapist at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Buckhurst Hill. In addition to counselling, Julia uses mind-body therapy to assist clients.

She is currently working towards her MA qualification in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s University and is a member of the BACP and UKCP.

Thanks to her training in psychotherapy, mind-body therapy, and life coaching, she provides a unique combination of therapeutic methods for each person. With that approach, Julia can work with clients on their emotional self-regulation and empowerment. Mind-body therapy helps release trauma and stuck emotions. While life coaching and CBT techniques help facilitate change. This combination of therapeutical approaches is particularly effective at working on eating disorders. “I have positive results in working with eating disorders by applying this method”.

Julia Martinez has experience with adults and adolescents from various backgrounds and with a broad spectrum of concerns: trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, self-harming, depression, ADHD, sleep, stress, anger, loss of identity, eating disorders, low self-esteem, and confidence.

“Helping adolescents is especially rewarding for me. Even though this is one of the most challenging periods in life, it is also part of a narrow window during development when we can address and alter traumatic experiences”.

Julia offers psychotherapy, life coaching and mind-body therapy in English and Russian, face-to-face or online. She strongly believes the client-therapist relationship is unique and essential for the healing process in itself. So, she emphasises building strong and positive relations with her clients.

Support Groups:

Julia has a lot of experience facilitating coaching and therapy groups to complement individual therapy sessions. Currently, she is running an invitation-only free support group for eating disorders.
