About Me

Amanda Kelly is an Integrative Counsellor at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre. She works with children, adolescents, adults and couples.

Life can be difficult at times and we can find ourselves in a dark place with uncertainty. Having somebody who is focused just on you, who listens and will help you help yourself can make all the difference.

Taking an integrative approach allows Amanda to meet the needs of many clients.  She has studied a variety of counselling theories and this enables her to tailor her approach when working with clients.

Amanda Kelly can help you with;
  • Making peace with your past
  • Understanding yourself
  • Overcoming challenges
  • Reaching your potential
  • Working with anxiety and depression
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Family issues

Her training allows her to work with adults and offer counselling to young people. Currently, Amanda is working as a counsellor for a youth education/mentoring centre. This work fits in with her background of working with young people. Also, Amanda has mentored with Kids Company, previously worked at Wells Park School and briefly volunteered as a youth worker with Catch 22.

Counselling Young People and Inner Child Work

‘So many broken children living in grown bodies mimicking adult lives’

By completing an ‘Inner Child’ training course Amanda is able to use tools and techniques to resolve inner child conflicts. Using a combination of journaling, bodywork, exploration and reflective exercises helps to work through inner conflict. She is able to work with clients to help them identify patterns of relating and heal inner childhood trauma.

Over many years Amanda Kelly has built up experience in working with a diverse range of people, helping them to understand themselves and achieve their goals.

Current roles also include working as a counsellor at Alderton Junior School, Here, she helps young people work through emotional difficulties such as anxiety and anger issues.

Along with this work and her counselling she has regular training and supervision to support herself and always works ethically and to a high professional standard.
