How Coaching Can help

Coaching

Coaching offers a structured approach to making positive changes to an individual’s life.

We are all susceptible to becoming stuck in our lives and coaching sessions offer a way of pushing through, creating the changes necessary in order to increase the quality of our lives and our personal happiness.

Clients may or may not have clear goals in mind when coming into coaching. Part of the process is to help clients create clear, definable goals and then create a plan of how these goals can be realised.

Homework may be used as part of the coaching process and clients may be invited to complete tasks in between sessions.

Coaching Information

Coaching

Once you have made the decision to receive coaching, your coach will contact you to discuss what you want to achieve from your sessions. You will be asked what you are seeking coaching for and asked to explain your future goals. The coach will also take this time to sign their paperwork with you, explaining their contracts and policies.

During your initial appointment, the therapist will explain what coaching is and how it works, taking time to answer any questions you may have. At this point, the coach may describe to you how they will work with you and the ways they will aid you in achieving your goals.

To end the sessions, the coach may recap and give you feedback, as well as homework – challenges and small tasks to complete away from your sessions.

The amount of appointments needed varies for different people and their desired results. You are able to receive as many coaching sessions as you like. Some sessions naturally come to an end as goals are achieved but you are always able to receive more as your life progresses and changes.

If subsequent sessions are needed, these appointments will be used to reflect, discuss, and then conduct further coaching.

During your final session, the coach will discuss with you your progress, thoughts, and feelings. At this stage, the coach can provide you with feedback, techniques, and tasks you can use to help sustain the progress you have made.
