Support for your child, without having to figure it all out on your own
Not sure what kind of help your child needs, or who to choose? You don’t have to work that out by yourself.
We’ll talk things through with you and guide you towards a therapist who feels right for your child, their age, and what’s going on.
At Cherry Tree Therapy Centre, we work with children and young people in ways that feel natural to them. Some children talk. Some don’t. Some need space, creativity, or time before they begin to open up. That’s all part of the process, and nothing needs to be forced.
Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, big emotions, friendship difficulties, school stress, or something that’s hard to put into words, we offer a steady, supportive space where they can begin to make sense of things at their own pace.
We support children and young people at different stages, including younger children, teenagers, and those who may experience the world differently, such as neurodivergent children or those with additional needs.
You can get in touch, and we’ll talk things through with you first.
We aim to create a warm, creative, and non-judgemental environment where children and young people feel safe to express themselves in ways that suit their age, personality, and communication style.
Sessions are flexible and tailored, for younger children, this might involve play, art, or storytelling, while older children and teenagers may prefer talking, creative reflection, or practical tools.
Our therapists are experienced in supporting a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, school pressures, identity questions, family changes, and more.
We also offer options for parental involvement, such as regular reviews or separate parent sessions (when appropriate), to ensure that support can extend beyond the therapy room and into family life.
Signs might include big emotional outbursts, anxiety, withdrawal, trouble at school, or sudden changes in behaviour. We're happy to talk it through with you.
This depends on your child’s age and the therapist’s approach. Some work with parent and child together. Others offer regular check-ins to keep you in the loop.
Each therapist sets their own fee. Children and young people’s sessions typically range from £60–£90. We’ll talk you through options before you commit.
