What a wonderful first Business Networking Meeting at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre, Buckhurst Hill.

Working on an individual basis with clients can often feel isolating, without colleagues to share our work experience with. My aim in setting up the group was to bring together other local business owners and self employed workers, in the hope of creating a mutually supportive environment for all those who join.  I also hoped that we would inspire each other and assist each other in promoting good working practices with our clients.  I was not disappointed!

Although, the group was not and is not solely aimed at the ‘caring or helping’ professions, the group attracted a number of Psychotherapists and alternative therapists. Together, we took turns to share our professional journeys and offered our thoughts and ideas to one another. We shared our vision for not only our individual work but also, for the centre and beyond. Each member was passionate about their area of expertise and about the health and well-being of clients, be they people or animals.

This Month’s attendees were:

Congratulations were in order for both Kevin Coleman who qualified this week as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist and also Karen Harrison who secured a part-time teaching post in Naturopathy.

Next month’s meeting will focus on ‘Small Business Marketing’, what it is and ideas on how to get it right. So, put Saturday 12th July in your diary!

Each month, participants will be asked to donate a small amount to charity, this month we raised £35 for the Psychotherapist appeal at Centre Point. http://www.centrepoint.org.uk/news-events/our-appeals/may-appeal.
