Psychotherapy in Buckhurst Hill

For most people, contacting a therapist for the first time can be really daunting. This may be because it the first time you have spoken to anybody about the difficulties you are experiencing and explained to someone else how these difficulties are making you feel. Somehow, talking about the problem can make it feel immediate and somehow more real.

In my experience that first phone call, that first conversation can also leave you feeling relieved – you’ve shared the problem and are no longer on your own.

You will find that I offer all of my clients a non-judgemental, safe, confidential space to explore the thoughts and feelings that have been causing them emotional pain, confusion or difficulty.

My approach is integrative, which means that I draw from various counselling approaches in order to ensure that my clients are offered a treatment plan that is tailor-made to meet their individual needs.

I work closely with each individual to identify areas of their lives that they would like to see changed. I support them to agree goals and decide on a therapeutic plan to guide them on their journey to improved well-being.

I am an experienced, qualified, professional and a member of the BACP. My post qualifying experience has mainly been focused in the following areas:

Anxiety and depression, relationship breakdown, anger management, OCD, identity/cultural i8ssues, substance misuse and general mental health issues.

My practice has also benefited from 22 years of experience working with groups and individuals as a mental health practitioner/manager within residential and day centre settings.

I am now offering counselling in Buckhurst Hill at the Cherry Tree Therapy Centre.
