Alcohol Addiction Programme

Alcohol Addiction Buckhurst Hill

Alcohol addiction has become a major health problem for more people in the UK than ever before. This situation has come about largely due to the constant pressure and competitiveness of modern living. Our pace of life has become so fast and stress levels continue to rise. People have become disconnected from their communities and use alcohol to numb their negative feelings. People may also use the numbing effect of alcohol to cope with previous or current negative life events. In the short term, alcohol may seem like a solution to your problems but in the long-term the effects of alcohol are destructive and potentially fatal. Alcohol is a depressant and therefore it will only make matters worse over time.  In the UK, someone will die from an alcohol related condition every hour and 25% of people in the UK drink at a level that is considered to be a risk.

If you are someone who finds it hard to relax after work, uses alcohol for its numbing effect or you find it difficult to enjoy yourself without having a drink you may be dependent on alcohol.  If you feel that you are struggling with your alcohol consumption and you need help to address it, Cherry Tree Therapy Centre offers a number of approaches that may help you to break free from your addiction.

We help clients overcome alcohol addiction using different approaches such as counselling and psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, acupuncture and mindfulness. Each approach focusses on reducing or eliminating the client’s alcohol consumption, breaking the vicious cycle of addiction then we support clients to remain alcohol free.  Each treatment can be taken independently or clients can choose to book a combination of treatments in order to aid their recovery.
